And this window makes sense if the game is still in the early stages of development like previous updates have suggested and if the bulk of Bethesda Game Studios is going to be focused on Starfield until this November, And according to the rumor, the plan is to get the game out sometime between 20, which would be three to four years following the release of Starfield. The rumor leaks a wide range of information about the game, including its setting, but most notably it relays some information about when the game is going to release or at least what Bethesda is planning. That said, there is a new rumor about the game. Unfortunately, for Elder Scrolls fans, Bethesda Game Studios still isn't talking about the game, and it's unlikely this is going to change until Starfield is out. In fact, the situation has only gotten more nebulous with Xbox's acquisition of Bethesda, which seemingly rules out the possibility of the game coming to the PS5, though this hasn't been outright confirmed yet. Four years later, there's been no follow-up media nor any follow-up information about the game. When the game was announced, it was done so with the vaguest teaser trailer and no information. if that is indeed what they are still doing after all this time. The Elder Scrolls 6's four-year announcement anniversary is coming up. Even if the game isn't ready to be released, it's been long enough for Bethesda to have something, anything, to show players they are still working on The Elder Scrolls 6. After the massive disappointment of Fallout 76, fans of Bethesda's former titles need something to give them a reason to stick with the company, and the longer the wait between Skyrimand The Elder Scrolls 6 becomes, the more they will think about looking somewhere else for their fantasy RPG experiences. This is incredibly disappointing, and not just because a lot of the ideas proposed in the fake leaks for The Elder Scrolls 6 sound like they would have been really fun to experience in a real game. The person who created the fake leaks even produced a forged non-disclosure agreement, which is part of the reason why the leaks gained so much traction so quickly. Unfortunately, as revealed on Reddit by u/KingKRoolVsCiri, the above information, including the game's alleged Q4 2024 release date and claims of " the biggest city Bethesda has ever built," was all fabricated. Recently, a massive amount of (fake) information was posted to Fandom, detailing a game called The Elder Scrolls VI: Redfall which was said to take place in both High Rock and Hammerfell " six years after the events of Skyrim." This version of The Elder Scrolls 6 was said to feature " huge, epic battle scenes with dozens, if not hundreds of characters battling on screen in real time" and even included vehicle mechanics, which the post (from a throwaway account) says was originally created for Bethesda's other quiet project, Starfield, and would be used in The Elder Scrolls 6's world to travel to different islands by boat. Related: How The Elder Scrolls 6 Could Build On Skyrim VR (& Other VR Games) Despite the fact that there are currently two games set in The Elder Scrolls universe available for players to enjoy right now, The Elder Scrolls: Blades and The Elder Scrolls Online, it seems like many fans would rather make up elaborate ideas about The Elder Scrolls 6 and present them as leaked information, just to get the community excited. This lack of concrete information hasn't stopped fans of The Elder Scrolls franchise from coming up with their own theories, however.
